Physical DescriptionA red, white, blue, and gold text-based poster encouraging the donation of blood. Across the top of the poster is a circular gold and blue American Red Cross Blood Donor emblem flanked by the words "EMBLEM OF HONOR" between red and blue lines. The body of the poster has text that reads: Some of your blood, easily and painlessly given, may save the life of an American fighter. YOU, then have saved a life offered for the defense of liberty – not by gift of / money, or clothing, or time, or services – but by giving directly and literally of yourself for victory. / TELEPHONE THE RED CROSS BLOOD DONOR SERVICE – REPUBLIC 8300 – ASK FOR AN APPOINTMENT.

Across the bottom of the poster is a wide white line intersected by a white circle with a red cross inside it. Red text on the line reads: PLASMA SAVES LIVES / YOU'LL BE PROUD TO BE A DONOR.
