Physical DescriptionA British World War II propaganda poster. The color poster consists of a large, cartoon-like illustration of a group of sailors, some wearing life vests, on open water either in a rowboat or sitting on and clinging to pieces of ship wreckage. Red text along the top of the poster reads: AN EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING OF THE STRAGGLER'S CLUB. The artist's facsimile initials and the date are in the lower right of the illustration: JE 1941.

Custodial History NoteDeposited at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum by Franklin D. Roosevelt on September 17, 1941. It was donated as a bequest of FDR to the Library in 1947.
