The artist's facsimile signature is in the lower right corner of the artwork: “SCHLAIKJER 1943.” Black, red, and white text above and below the image reads: “In the face of obstacles ~ COURAGE / INFANTRY / UNITED STATES ARMY.” In the bottom two corners of the poster is the U.S. Army Infantry insignia. Copyrighted by the War Department. Printed by Brown and Bigelow, Saint Paul, Minnesota.
