Physical DescriptionA text-based poster in recognition of the “DECLARATION BY UNITED NATIONS” signed in Washington, DC on January 1, 1942. The poster is a reproduction of the original typed and signed declaration which includes signatures representing 26 nations, the first two being that of Franklin D. Roosevelt for the United States of America and Winston Churchill on behalf of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The signers of the Declaration officially declared to follow what was decided at the Atlantic Charter meeting of August 14, 1941 to defend the world against members of the Tripartite Pack, effectively declaring war.
