Physical DescriptionA color poster featuring an illustrated map of North Africa. In the upper right corner is a white banner with the title in black text that reads: THE EXPULSION OF AXIS FORCES / FROM NORTH AFRICA. A map key is located in the upper left corner of the poster. The map shows the region's major cities and the movement of ships, planes, and ground forces moving west starting October 23rd, 1942 through to May 7th, 1943. Each of the highlighted dates has a short description of what occurred. May 7, 1943 is captioned in a larger box with text that reads: TUNIS AND BIZERTA / CAPTURED / EGYPT TO TUNISIA / 1,700 Miles in 28 weeks. It is followed by a list of casualties, both in troops and equipment.

Stamped on the reverse of the poster: BRITISH INFORMATION SERVICES / 30 Rockefeller Plaza / New York City.
