Physical DescriptionA World War II U.S. Department of Agriculture production poster titled “FIGHTING EQUIPMENT DEMANDS HIGH GRADE COTTON.” The red, white, and black poster features a graphic illustration of a uniformed U.S. Army soldier standing in a battlefield. He is pointing to the viewer and stating, “I'm depending on YOU for HIGH GRADE COTTON . . . .” Overlaying the image is a box with four points of instruction for cotton picking:
1. PICK ONLY WHEN DRY
2. KEEP TRASH OUT
3. PICK BEFORE WEATHER DAMAGE
4. DON'T MIX GOOD COTTON WITH BAD
