Physical DescriptionA World War II U.S. Army production poster titled “Bust up their ACT!” The black and white poster features a drawn illustration of Adolf Hitler and a small Hideki Tojo seated next to one another as Tojo says, “HON. DEMOCRACY GONE SOFT . . CANNOT PRODUCE UNTIL TOO LATE . . SO SORRY!” Looming up behind Hitler and Tojo is a helmeted American miner getting ready to swing a long metal bar (labeled “MORE METAL NOW”) at them. The artist’s facsimile signature is in the lower right of the artwork: “ROLLIN KIRBY.”
