Physical DescriptionA World War II U.S. Army conservation poster. The red, white, and black poster features a graphic illustration of a large right-pointing arrow with the words “FIRE ALARM” above it. A text box superimposed over the arrow has the instructions: “In Case of Fire / first TURN IN ALARM / then DO ALL YOU CAN TO PUT OUT FIRE.”
Along the bottom of the poster is the U.S. Army Conservation Program “SAVE” logo and small text that reads: “ARMY CONSERVATION PROJECT NO. 22-E-5 / OFFICE OF THE CHIEF OF ENGINEERS / U.S. GOVERNMENT PRINTING OFFICE: 1943—O-555114.”
