Spent shell casings litter the ground below him. The artist’s facsimile signature is in the lower right of the artwork: “AMOS SEWEL.” Red and black text at the top and bottom of the poster states: “MILES OF HELL to Tokyo! / WORK WHERE YOU'RE NEEDED / CONSULT YOUR U.S EMPLOYMENT SERVICE OFFICE / WAR MANPOWER COMMISSION.”
