Physical DescriptionA World War II U.S. Army production poster titled, “NEW YEAR SUGGESTION.” The red, black, and white poster features a graphic illustration of a cartoon character in the form of a suggestion box with a red reminder ribbon tied to one finger. With the other hand, the suggestion box points to a desktop flip calendar turned to the date January 1, 1945 with the comment, “AT LEAST ONE GOOD SUGGESTION THIS YEAR,” printed on the opposite page. A large downward-facing arrow is in the background and has on it the Great Seal of the United States with “U. S. Army". The artist’s facsimile signature is on the left side of the illustration: “C. X. CARLSON.”
