Physical DescriptionA small World War II U.S. Army conservation poster. The color poster features a graphic illustration of a wooden floor as a background. Text overlaying the image of the floor reads, “Clean WOOD FLOORS Right,” followed by a numbered five-point list of proper cleaning techniques. Wording at the bottom of the poster states: “Make 'em LAST . . . LUMBER is SCARCE.”
In the lower left quadrant of the poster is the U.S. Army Conservation Program “SAVE” logo. Small text in the bottom margin of the poster reads: “ARMY CONSERVATION PROJECT NO. 65-E-15 / U.S. GOVERNMENT PRINTING OFFICE : 1943—O-574069 / OFFICE, CHIEF OF ENGINEERS.”
