Physical DescriptionA Spanish language poster titled, “La Superfortaleza" [The Superfortress], promoting inter-American solidarity during World War II. The poster features a large illustration of a U.S. Army Boeing B-29 Superfortress bomber aircraft as seen from below while in flight and dropping bombs from its weapons bay. Text in the lower right corner of the illustration states: “Lleva mayores bombas MÁS LEJOS Y MÁS APRISA.” Along the right side of the poster are line drawings of the B-29 and the B-17 with comparative dimensions.

Printed in small text along the bottom of the poster: "PUBLICADO POR EL COORDINADOR DE ASUNTOS INTERAMERICANOS, WASHINGTON, E.U.A.”
Historical NotePresident Roosevelt created the Office of the Coordinator of Inter-American Affairs during World War II to counter Italian and German propaganda in Latin America and promote political, economic, and cultural ties with the United States. He appointed Nelson Rockefeller as the Coordinator. This poster is one in a series created by the Office of the Coordinator of Inter-American Affairs depicting Franklin D.
