Physical DescriptionA World War II U.S. Navy conservation poster titled “DON’T WASTE GOOD FOOD!” The orange, blue, black, and white poster features a comic-like illustration of a Navy sailor dumping a trayful of mostly uneaten food into a trashcan. Text at the top of the illustration states, “WHEN YOU TAKE MORE THAN YOU CAN EAT YOU CHEAT YOUR BUDDIES IN THE FLEET!” The artist’s facsimile signature is in the lower right corner of the illustration: "HOTCHKISS USNR.”
