Physical DescriptionA World War II U.S. Army conservation poster titled "MAKE EQUIPMENT LAST LONGER." The black, white, and orange-red poster features an illustration of a hand holding up the three middle fingers. Red arrows lead from each fingertip to different parts of technical bulletin, “WAR DEPARTMENT LUBRICATION ORDER L09-772,” showing proper lubrication for the M29C and M29 cargo carrier vehicles. Text on the poster reads: “3 points . . / 1. The RIGHT Lubricant / 2. The RIGHT Place / 3. The RIGHT Time." Below the hand there is also an illustration of the cover of War Department Field Manual FM 21-6, officially titled "List of PUBLICATIONS FOR TRAINING."

The poster includes the U.S. Army Conservation Program “SAVE” logo. Small text in the bottom margin of the poster reads: “ARMY CONSERVATION PROJECT NO. 136-O-28, FEB. 45 / U. S. GOVERNMENT PRINTING OFFICE : 1945—O-627970.”

Printed on the reverse side of the poster are instructions for posting and distribution.
