Physical DescriptionA red, white, and blue crocheted 48-star American flag with crocheted stars. A red, white, and blue twisted rope with a tassel on either end is threaded through a hole in the upper left corner of the flag. In the lower left corner of the flag, embroidered white text reads: MADE BY MRS. J. C. SNOOTS / FOR PRESIDENT ROOSEVELT 1941.
Historical NoteThis handmade flag was sent to Franklin Roosevelt in February 1942 by the maker and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Snoots of Alexandria, Virginia.

Custodial History NoteDeposited at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum by Franklin D. Roosevelt on February 28, 1942. It was donated as a bequest of FDR to the Library in 1947.
