Physical Description1) A pair of eyeglasses with translucent yellow plastic frames. There is no maker's mark.
2) A red leather slip-in eyeglass case. Stamped in gold on the front of the case: "RAUCH & DIETSCH / 50 WEST 55th ST. / NEW YORK CITY / GUILD OPTICIANS.”
Historical NoteThese eyeglasses and case were from the desk in Eleanor Roosevelt's bedroom in her 74th Street apartment in New York City.2) A red leather slip-in eyeglass case. Stamped in gold on the front of the case: "RAUCH & DIETSCH / 50 WEST 55th ST. / NEW YORK CITY / GUILD OPTICIANS.”
