Physical DescriptionA World War II U.S. Army conservation poster titled “Clean Weapons Shoot Straight.” The color poster features an artwork illustration of a U.S. Army soldier, under cover on a tropical battlefield, shooting straight into the heart a sword-wielding Japanese soldier who is leading an advance of Japanese troops. Overlaying the lower right quadrant of the poster is a text box with the U.S. Army Conservation Program “SAVE” logo, illustrations of cans of lubricant and rifle cleaner, and information and instructions regarding the importance of taking care of small arms. Below the illustrations of the cans is the message to “USE THESE THEY FIT IN YOUR CARTRIDGE BELT.”
