Physical DescriptionA World War II U.S. Army conservation poster titled "HANDLE SEALS WITH CARE." In the upper half of the green, black, gray, and white poster is an illustration of a seal. The lower half of the poster has a grid of eight small black and white numbered instructional illustrations with text on the proper shipping, storing, preparing, installing, and lubricating of equipment oil seals. Additional text at the bottom of the poster states: “MAINTAIN SEALS PROPERLY FOR MAXIMUM LIFE AND MINIMUM TROUBLE."

The poster includes the U.S. Army Conservation Program “SAVE” logo. Small text in the bottom margin of the poster has distribution instructions and “ARMY CONSERVATION PROJECT NO. 154-O-32 / U. S. GOVERNMENT PRINTING OFFICE : 1945—O-640499.”

Printed on the reverse side of the poster are instructions for posting and distribution.
