Physical DescriptionA blue, white, and red World War II victory flag. On a blue field is a large white "V" overlayed by the word "VICTORY" in red and "• • • −" ["V" in Morse Code] in white below it. On the left edge of the flag is a white header with metal grommets at the top and bottom. Stamped in ink at the top of the header are the words: 4x6 / OFFICIAL VICTORY FLAG / BUNDLES FOR BRITAIN INC.
Historical NoteThe Bundles for Britain initiative was started in 1940 by Natalie Wales Latham out of a New York City storefront and focused on making and sending knitted goods to Britain during World War II. The program quickly grew to an organization with 975 branches that collected cash contributions and donations of clothing, blankets, and other basic necessities for the British people.This victory flag, issued by the Bundles for Britain organization, was sent to Franklin D. Roosevelt by F. W. Meller of New York, New York.

Custodial History NoteDeposited at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum by Franklin D. Roosevelt on February 28, 1942. It was donated as a bequest of FDR to the Library in 1947.
