Historical NoteThis poster by amateur photographer Harriet Nadeau was among the winners of the National War Poster Competition conducted in 1942 by Artists For Victory, the Council for Democracy, and New York City’s Museum of Modern Art. Two hundred posters (selected from over 2200 entries) were displayed at the museum. Some were later produced by the government.
