Physical Descriptiona) A round pinback button from the campaign of Wendell Willkie and Charles McNary. The button consists of three horizontal bands in red, white, and blue. Blue text on the center white band reads: WILLKIE / AND / McNARY. The manufacturer's information and a union label are stamped on the reverse of the button.

b) Suspended from the reverse of the button on a light pink cord, and hanging down below it, is a white plastic elephant with pink and gray highlights.
Historical NoteWendell Willkie and Charles McNary were the Republican Party’s presidential and vice presidential candidates in 1940.
