Physical DescriptionA round hand fan with the staves and handle whittled from a light-color wood. The staves are glued together in a fixed circular shape and woven between them is length of red ribbon and a length of light green ribbon. A carved and inked inscription, spread over both sides of the handle reads: MADE FOR THE PRESIDENT BY THE JACK KNIFE KING / 1941 BY LOUISE AND ARTHUR MORRELL.

Custodial History NoteDeposited at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum by Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1942. It was donated as a bequest of FDR to the Library in 1947.
