Physical DescriptionA color poster featuring an illustrated warning to the Axis powers. Black and red text reads: Lookout Monks! [the “s” formed to look like a Nazi swastika] / Here’s Your PLANE WARNING! Between the text is a cartoon-like illustration of two large monkeys standing among smoldering ruins and looking up at the sky filled with allied airplanes. The monkey on the left has the head of Adolf Hitler, is wearing a Nazi swastika armband, and has a holstered pistol at its hip. The monkey on the right has the head of Emperor Hirohito and is holding a bloodied dagger in one hand. The artist’s facsimile signature is in the lower right corner of the artwork: PACKER.
