In the sky behind him are airplanes and other descending parachutists, while several burning fires are visible in the distant left background. Black text at the top of the poster reads: CARELESS TALK / . . . got there first. The facsimile signature of artist Herbert Morton Stoops is in the lower right corner of the illustration.
The poster was printed by the U.S. Government Printing Office, poster no. 1944-O-593271. Distributed for the Issuing Agencies by the Office of War Information (OWI).
On the reverse of the poster is printed information on the artist and the poster theme. There is also a blank space to put a mailing address, along with a printed return address for the Office of War Information.
