Physical DescriptionA round pinback patriotic button. At the center of the white button is a color illustration of the American flag. Blue text below the flag reads: GOD BLESS AMERICA. The manufacturer's information and a union bug are printed on a white paper insert on the reverse of the button.
Historical Note"God Bless America," the patriotic song written by Irving Berlin, was the official 1940 campaign song for both Franklin Roosevelt and his Republican opponent, Wendell Willkie. This button may have been used to promote either candidate.
