Physical DescriptionA red, white, and blue scarf commemorating the U.S. Navy. The scarf consists of a square divided diagonally into two triangles, one red and one blue. Printed in white text on both triangles are various well-known quotes and messages from U.S Navy officers and ships. The edge of the scarf consists of a red and blue border with images of U.S. Navy-related flags, pennants, and insignia.

A cardstock manufacturer’s tag is attached to one side of the scarf: ECHO ORIGINATIONS.
Historical NoteEdgar C. Hyman, one of the founders of the Echo company, gave this U.S. Navy commemorative scarf to the Franklin D. Roosevelt Library in November 1940.
