Physical DescriptionA paperweight made from an armor piercing cartridge mounted on a round wooden base. The number "AK 88" is stamped into the surface of the cartridge. A curved metal plate attached to the wood base has an engraved inscription that reads: 2 LB. ARMOR PIERCING SHOT / PRESENTED TO / FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT / BY REMINGTON RAND, INC.
Historical NoteRemington Rand, Inc. presented this paperweight featuring an armor piercing shot to Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1941.

Custodial History NoteDeposited at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum by Franklin D. Roosevelt on November 27, 1941. It was donated as a bequest of FDR to the Library in 1947.
