Physical DescriptionA large model of a ship called the FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT. The wood model has a red and white painted hull. The deck detail includes a number of lifeboats as well as a sea plane with "F.D.R." on the side. The ship flies two American flags and two naval flags. The name of the ship is on the stern. The model is affixed to a stained wood base (on which the artist's name is painted: A. DiBlase) and mounted inside a wood and glass case.
Historical NoteThis model was presented to President Roosevelt by the maker, Aniello DiBlase of Amsterdam, New York, in February 1934.
