Physical DescriptionA color print featuring circular emblems from three different sections of the U.S. Navy. At the top of the print is the insignia of the "DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY ★ BUREAU OF YARDS AND DOCKS ★". Below it are two smaller insignias, one for the "CIVIL ENGINEER CORPS ★ UNITED STATES NAVY ★" and the other for the "SEABEES".
Historical NoteThis print featuring three images of U.S. Navy insignias formed the frontispiece for the publication, "Building the Navy's Bases in World War II: History of the Bureau of Yards and Docks and the Civil Engineer Corps 1940 - 1946," Volume 1, published in 1947 by the U.S. Government Printing Office.
