Physical DescriptionA glazed ceramic mug decorated in color with a scene from Pearl Harbor and the American flag. Within a shield is the text: Remember / Pearl Harbor / Dec. 7 / 1941. Written around the base is the inscription: Franklin D. Roosevelt, President U.S.A. 1942.
Historical NoteWithin days of Japan's December 7, 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor a new slogan swept the nation-- "Remember Pearl Harbor!" It appeared first in newspaper editorials, then quickly began showing up on posters, banners, and products ranging from matchbooks to pillowcases.

This mug was presented to FDR by S. Solomon of the Metlox Manufacturing Co., Manhattan Beach, California on April 1, 1942.
