Physical Description(a) A ribbon badge from the March 4, 1933 inauguration of Franklin Roosevelt and John Garner. The length of green fabric ribbon has imprinted gilt text that reads: ROOSEVELT / AND / GARNER / PRESIDENTIAL / ELECTOR / 1933. Adhered to the reverse of the ribbon is a circular paper label with the manufacturer’s information: R. HARRIS & CO. / WASHINGTON, D. C.

(b) Pinned to the top of the ribbon badge is a pinback campaign pin. The gold-colored metal pin features left-facing sculpted profiles of Franklin D. Roosevelt and John N. Garner along with their names. The manufacturer's information is stamped on the reverse of the pin: GREEN DUCK CO / CHICAGO.
Historical NoteThe design of the pin attached to this badge was evidently inspired by the 1932 campaign plaque (see MO 1941.41.28) and pin (1975.59) by artist Gutzon John Borglum.
