Physical DescriptionA World War II U.S. Army conservation poster. The color poster features a graphic illustration of a brown leather service boot. Hanging on the wooden wall behind the boot is a calendar with the words “CHANGE SHOES EVERY DAY” printed on it. Text below the shoe reads: ". . . GOOD FOR YOUR FEET / . . . GOOD FOR YOUR SHOES.” The artist’s facsimile signature is below the boot: “hill.”

Along the bottom of the poster is the U.S. Army Conservation Program “SAVE” logo and small text that reads: “U.S. GOVERNMENT PRINTING OFFICE : 1943—O-561137 / ARMY CONSERVATION PROJECT No. 26—Q—5.”

Printed on the reverse side of the poster are instructions for posting and distribution.
