Physical DescriptionA World War II U.S. conservation poster. The color poster features a painted illustration depicting an older woodsman, outfitted with heavy work gloves, placing a long log onto a wood stack within a forest setting. Amidst the trees behind him are a series of already-completed crisscross wood stacks. The artist’s facsimile signature is in the lower right corner of the illustration: “ADOLPH TREIDLER.” Text below the illustration instructs: “THIN YOUR CROWDED TREES / Cash Crops — Improved Woods — Continuing Returns."
