Physical DescriptionA poster featuring a color painted illustration showing a young Polish couple standing in semi-darkness amidst war-torn buildings and ruins that include a bust, books, and a tattered Polish flag. A sun beam is seen breaking through the clouds in the distant background. Set over the lower portion of the illustration is a black and white printed poem entitled, "AN OPEN LETTER TO THE UNCONQUERABLE POLES By JOSEPH AUSLANDER / PAINTING BY EVERETT HENRY," followed by a poem. Printed in the bottom right corner of the poster: "— from The Saturday Evening Post."
