Physical DescriptionA World War II U.S. Army conservation poster titled “BEWARE OF MOISTURE.” At the center of the green, black, gray, and white poster is a graphic illustration of a field radio receiver and transmitter. The communication equipment is sitting in a puddle of water and getting pelted by raindrops, some in the form of bullets, causing damage. Text just below the illustration reads: “MOISTURE fosters fungus and corrosion— RUINS communications equipment." In the bottom section of the poster is a three-panel comic strip illustrating the proper care of signal equipment accompanied by the text, “KEEP SIGNAL EQUPMENT DRY!!”
The poster includes the U.S. Army Conservation Program “SAVE” logo. Small text in the bottom margin of the poster reads: “ACP PROJECT NO. 164-S-8, MAY 1945 / ‘BEWARE OF MOISTURE’ / DISPLAY THIS POSTER IN UNIT SUPPLY ROOMS / U. S.
