Physical DescriptionA World War II U.S. Army production poster titled “More COPPER-ZINC-LEAD..QUICK!” The black and white poster features a drawn illustration of a conversation between an American soldier holding a rifle and an American miner holding a drilling tool. The soldier gestures to the smoking ruins of a house in the background (labeled “TOO LITTLE AND TOO LATE”) and demands “GIVE US METAL SO IT WON'T HAPPEN HERE!". The miner responds, “COUNT ON ME, BUDDY!” The artist’s facsimile signature is in the lower left of the artwork: “ROLLIN KIRBY.”
