Physical DescriptionA small card featuring an original caricature of Franklin D. Roosevelt drawn in black ink. The portrait consists of left-facing profile view of FDR seated in a small sailboat on water. He is wearing a fedora on his head and pince-nez glasses perched on his nose. A cigarette in a long holder is clenched in his teeth. To the right of the scene are simply drawn images of a seagull and a lighthouse. In the upper left-hand corner of the card is the artist's signature in ink: PAULE LORING / BULLETIN - PROV. R I.

On the reverse of the card, the artist has handwritten a message in ink: DEAR SYLVIA: / YOU SURE LAY IT ON / HEAVY IN ASKING FOR / AN AUTOGRAPH!!! / LORING.
