Physical DescriptionA red, white, and blue 48-star American flag knitted using heavy cotton yarn. The flag has three knitted tabs along the left edge for the placement of a staff.
Historical NoteThis handmade flag was sent to Franklin Roosevelt in January 1942 as a birthday gift by the maker, Anna Arboleda of Pacific Grove, California.

Custodial History NoteDeposited at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum by Franklin D. Roosevelt on February 28, 1942. It was donated as a bequest of FDR to the Library in 1947.
