Physical DescriptionA World War II U.S. Navy conservation poster titled “WATCH YOUR WASTE!" The blue, orange, black, and white poster features a cartoon-like illustration of a large, tattooed Navy cook serving up food onto a tray held by a dog wearing a blue sailor’s uniform. Text at the top of the illustration reads: “O.K. CHOW HOUND – JUST BE SURE YOU EAT IT." The artist’s facsimile signature is in the lower right quadrant of the poster: "HOTCHKISS USNR.”
