Physical DescriptionA World War II U.S. conservation poster. The color poster features a graphic illustration of a hand pouring grease from a frying pan. The grease drips downward, fueling an explosion that launches a group of missiles towards the viewer. Text on the illustration instructs readers to, “Save waste fats for explosives / TAKE THEM TO YOUR MEAT DEALER.” The artist’s facsimile signature is in the lower right quadrant of the poster: “H. KOERNER.”
