Physical DescriptionA World War II conservation poster titled “DON'T FEED RATS.” The color poster features a painted illustration depicting a battered and overflowing metal trashcan up against the side of a building. A group of rats is rummaging through and feasting on food inside the trashcan and on the ground around it. In the lower left corner of the illustration is a small silhouette image of a rat with the words “COMBAT THE RAT” on it. The artist’s facsimile signature is in the lower right corner of the illustration: “Robbins.”
