Physical DescriptionA World War II U.S. conservation poster. The orange, black, and white poster features a cartoon-like illustration of a family of squirrels – one on a tree limb and three others in a tree hole behind it – watching with horror as the flames of a raging forest fire approach their home. In the upper left corner of the scene, three game birds are seen flying to flee the flames. A text block over the illustration states: “FOREST FIRES DESTROY GAME.”
