Physical DescriptionA black and white lithographic reproduction of a pencil sketch of Herbert Hoover done from life. Printed on buff paper, the three-quarter portrait depicts Hoover seated, turned somewhat to the proper right, his right hand resting on his right knee. He is wearing a dark-colored suit, a white shirt, and a dark tie. The artist’s pencil signature is just below the portrait on the right side: S. J. On the reverse is the artist's stamped signature: S.J. Woolf. Also on the reverse are notations written in pencil: E - 5mm / P-496mm.
