Physical DescriptionA circular plastic plaque with the color images of a snake, eagle, and an American flag in the center. Around the edge of the plaque is the wording: DEC. 7 REMEMBER 1941 PEARL-HARBOR. The artist's name is etched along the right side of the center circle: L. DE RANIERI.
Historical NoteWithin days of Japan's December 7, 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor a new slogan swept the nation-- "Remember Pearl Harbor!" It appeared first in newspaper editorials, then quickly began showing up on posters, banners, and products ranging from matchbooks to pillowcases.

This plaque was presented to President Roosevelt by Gilbert Maggi of New York, New York.
