Physical DescriptionA round pinback coat-tail button from the campaigns of Wendell Willkie, Charles Brooks, and Dwight Green. The button consists of three horizontal bands in red, white, and blue. White and blue text reads: BROOKS / WILLKIE / GREEN. Two union bugs are printed on the reverse of the button.
Historical NoteThis 1940 campaign button features Wendell Willkie, the Republican Party's unsuccessful presidential candidate, Dwight Green, the Republican Party's successful candidate for governor of Illinois, and Charles Brooks, the Republican Party's successful candidate for the U.S. Senate from Illinois.
