Physical Descriptiona) A small, gold religious medal on a gold link chain. On the obverse side is a Nativity scene. On the reverse side is a scene depicting Jesus' baptism.

b) A white satin-covered storage box for the medal (a). The box is stored separately.
Historical NoteFranklin Roosevelt wore this medal at his baptism in 1882. It was a gift from his godmother, Eleanor Blodgett. The medal is on display in the A PRIVILEGED YOUTH exhibit in the Museum’s FOUNDATIONS OF A PUBLIC LIFE gallery.
