Physical DescriptionA gouache painting of a moonlight scene over Greek ruins in Paestum, Gulf of Salerno, Italy. The painting is of a night scene with the full moon in the sky. Four figures are seen in the center foreground in front of a stone wall with a wooden gate, with a small body of water on the left and stone ruins on the right. In the background are the ruins of the Poseidon temple, the Basilica, and the mountains of the Cilento.
An ornate gilt 1" wood and plaster frame is stored separately.

Custodial History NoteDeposited at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum by Franklin D. Roosevelt on August 18, 1942. It was donated as a bequest of FDR to the Library in 1947.
