Physical DescriptionA mahogany bookcase in the Chinese Chippendale style. The flat-topped bookcase features ornately carved trim and feet. The two front doors swing open and have a lock, but no handles. Four shelves are located inside the bookcase. The bookshelf comes with a separately stored key.
Historical NoteThis bookcase in the Chinese Chippendale style by an unknown maker is on display in FDR'S PRIVATE STUDY in the Permanent Exhibit.

Custodial History NoteDeposited at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum by Franklin D. Roosevelt. It was donated as a bequest of FDR to the Library in 1947.
