Physical DescriptionA pair of cast metal dog figurines, one a black Scottish terrier and one a white West Highland terrier, each mounted on bar magnets. The dogs come with a two-piece hexagonal cardboard box labeled: SNOOTY / Love Dogs. The interior of box has velveteen covered padding. There are no maker's marks on either the dogs or the box.
Historical NoteFDR kept these magnets on his Oval Office desk for years. They are on display in the FDR’S OVAL OFFICE DESK exhibit in the Museum’s APRIL 12, 1945 gallery.
