Physical DescriptionA printed prayer composed by Reinhold Niebuhr. It was evidently cut out (unevenly) of a Church publication because there is a blank on the reverse side to fill in the amount for a 1940 contribution. The first line of the prayer is: Our Father, who has set a restlessness in our hearts, and made us all seekers. The prayer has worn into two pieces.
Historical NoteThis prayer was among the items found inside Eleanor Roosevelt’s wallet after her death. A facsimile of the prayer is displayed alongside other items found in the wallet in the Museum’s FIRST LADY OF THE WORLD gallery.
